More victories!

Congratulations to both Masters crews who competed at the Cambridge Head on Saturday the 20th October.

The older Division One crew recorded a time of 10.51, adjusted to 10.20, enough to see off the Champions of the Thames by all of 2 seconds!! That kind of winning margin makes you glad you slogged out all those ergos and circuits to the bitter end!

Three hours later, and in slightly better conditions, our younger Division Three crew then bettered that time by 10 seconds (10.41 [10:10 adj]), which was the winning time! Details are here

So we finished first and second in the Masters D/F Category.  We were also 14 and 17th fastest boats in the head out of 132 boats.

This was a great team effort, but I do want to mention particularly Jen who steered us beautifully and James who as a relative newcomer to rowing, and took on the responsibly of stroking both boats superbly.

It is great to record another victory so early in the season. Let’s use this as inspiration to up the pace!
