The club was saddened to hear of the death of Acer Nethercott on Jan 26th. He had been ill for some time.

Acer lived in Harlow and attended Broxbourne school so he had his first experience of coxing at this club as a teenager.
He was academically gifted and went to Oxford University ultimately attaining a PhD in Philosophy. At Oxford he coxed four Boat Races and was cox of the GB Eight for the Beijing Olympiad ending with a Silver medal at the Olympic Games. He retained an interest in BRC having assisted at the ceremonies when the Boat House was opened.

His Mother may be sustained by the respect and high esteem in which Acer was held and the love of those who knew him.
