Single Scull for sale

Posted by Graham Everitt | December 19, 2013

I’m selling my Silva single scull, as I’m going to upgrade to a newer model later in the year and won’t be sculling much in the mean time.

Silva’s are the Italian equivalent of Swifts. My boat is like a Club A model so it’s nice and stiff, and a fairly light shell. The boat has a decent pair of shoes, and good fittings. It’ll be going on The Rowing Service Noticeboard at the start of January for £2,000 ONO including the blades and speedcoach fittings, available to BRC members beforehand for £1,800.

It was shipped to the UK new from Italy in 2007. It’s for a weight range of 70-80kg. It will include a pair of Concept 2 big blades (white with blue stars on). The only damage it has ever had is a small crumple to the bow following an incident with the bank on the club corner. This was professionally repaired by Janousek in the summer.

The boat is racked in the back left corner of the sculls bay if anyone wants to look at it. It’s the silver boat on the bottom rack. I’m happy for anyone to trial it too, obviously.
